Stranded

"- I knew | should have not come here..! ” she yelled once again even though she could barely hear her thoughts.

There was no response.

She started to freak out. It was hard as it was to see a meter in front of her and they had to stay close to each other no matter what. They had been outside into the storm for such a long time and it made her feel disoriented the lack of time telling. Then she started babbling about how she regreted coming here, not knowing almost anyone in the team and how much she hated the project because it made her look so useless. It wasn't like her to complain but it made some of the pain go away.

'-Martin?!"

Silence.

She stopped and looked around. Now she regreted saying all of that. It made her think that God was finally trying to punish her for her ungratefulness. The thoughts of dying were all around and made her feel even more hopeless. Her feet felt numb and her fingers were moving so slow.

Suddenly a shadow formed beside her and pulled her out of her thoughts and into the growling blizzard. Her scream got lost into the wind.

"- We're saved, look!" said Martin while pulling her into the white void.

There was nothing there but cascades of white anywhere she looked

"There Dominique !"

As they come closer Dominique could see a faint shape in front of her. It was so well camouflaged with the snow that she almost missed it. lt made her wonder for a moment how did Martin see it in the first place. If it wasnt for him she could have defenitly walked right past it without ever knowing of its existence.

"Its an igloo!” through the noise his tone sounded flat, but she knew he was as relieved as her.

"An igloo.." she repeated as they made their way around it for the entrance.
