Quagmire
Though tensions should be high, Mulder and Scully find themselves in a moment of quiet introspection on the lake. Waves lap against their island rock, black as pitch and fringed by a hovering fog. A chorus of frogs cry from some distant shore. The crescent moon is a milky white. If this is Big Blue’s home, Mulder can’t blame him for sticking around after all this time.
