Purgatory is empty. There is nothing besides the muddy green and brown of the trees and earth. The sky is forever gray, and a thick fog blankets the floor, slithering through the trees as though it were sentient. There is no weather, and no wind. No day, no night.
Purgatory's forests stretch for flat, infinite miles until you come across the mountain--if you're lucky enough to find it. The only mountain in this grim place that holds human souls that belong nowhere. Like the rest of the land, the mountain is silent and monochrome.
