You've made the absolutely abysmal choice to be a prostitute in 1881, and Jack the Ripper has found you. Unfortunately for you, you're in pretty good shape for a Victorian prostitute, so you ran, through a maze of rat infested, twisting back alleys. It's really too bad. If he were a normal serial killer, you might have gotten away.
But Jacky Boy is in fact a Big Bad Wolf, and you've been at this for hours, and you're so tired...but he's not.
