You’re peacefully sleeping in your apartment building, knowing that you are isolated from the Germans, with miles of water in between. But, at the same time, a danger always looms over you. You awake at 8 PM to hear sirens, the same ones you have been hearing for the past month, every single night. As you approach the shelter, you remember Winston Chruchill’s inspiring words: “We will never surrender.”
